EAU CLAIRE – Chippewa Valley Technical College English Instructor, Jenna Kulasiewicz, MA, BA, authored an open textbook titled “Proposal and Grant Writing,” to provide practical and accessible guidance for students and professionals who are interested in writing effective and persuasive proposals.
The textbook was developed collaboratively between CVTC and the Wisconsin Technical College System. It walks readers through the process of proposal and grant development from identifying needs and researching funding opportunities to writing, budgeting, and evaluation.
It is available at no cost in digital format under an open license through WisTech Open. The open license allows instructors to adopt and adapt it at no cost to students. Print and audiobook versions will be available in the spring.
“Proposal and Grant Writing is a student-friendly book that emphasizes the importance of concise communication, hearty research, and grant stewardship,” said Kulasiewicz. “This open textbook will help learners build proposal and grant writing skills while keeping education accessible and affordable.”
